The B5Media network:

Do You Treat Blogging as a Business?

As most of us know, blogging is one business that has taken off. What started off as a web page to keep in touch with family and friends has taken off to, what can be, a very lucrative career. Let me ask you this – if you blog and you want to make money doing it, do you treat it as a business? This is a very important question that every blogger who wants to really turn this blogging thing into something, should ask themselves.

Treating your blogging as a business and making yourself a business owner, means that you must organize your blogging business. I was just reading an article entitled “Bloggers Aren’t Business Owners” and of course, being the blogging fool that I am, it caught my attention. The author gives some good pointers as to what you should do for your blogging business.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be doing a series called “Organized Blogging”. I’ll cover what I do personally to run my blogging business in an organized manner, as well as interview some others professional bloggers.  I’m really looking forward to this series and I hope you are too.

If you are a blogger and you have some questions that you would like answered in my series, please email them to me at julie.bonner at b5media.com.

Alright, I gotta get going…I’ve got a blogging schedule to stick to! :)

Julie – Great article! Thank for the link to BlueInkBooks. I’m looking forward to your series on oganized blogging. Being a “rookie” blogger myself, I’m interested to get your take on it.
