Saturday link
July 5, 2008 by Becky Scott
Occasionally, on Saturday, I’ll feature a link (or links) to things that I’ve been reading. I hope that you’ll find something useful or interesting.
I occasionally use Remember the Milk. I have tried using it – and sites similar – consistently. Honestly, it hasn’t worked for me, but it does work for many people. I have trouble using something that’s exclusively online. I prefer instead to use something local to my computer or on paper.
But there are times where having something online that’s accessible from any computer is handy, too. And that’s where services like Remember the Milk come in handy.
If you use RTM, you’ll want to read Hack Your Day’s tips on how to use the program more effectively. It has some great ideas for navigating and entering tasks faster. Read the tips, and you might save yourself a few clicks when entering a bunch of things to do.

Becky,
I don’t get much out of online to do lists either. I like to write them on paper, partly because there’s something about moving my hand across paper that helps me think.
My current favorite digital helper is Jott. You call in your message and you’ll get a transcript via email (or text message). Very handy while driving, and the voice recognition is pretty darn good. I wrote about this and a few other phone-oriented services in my blog last month.
Thanks, Claire. Jott is something I need to look at and review a bit more. I’ve been hearing about it, but haven’t checked it out yet.
