Staying Organized Midst Computer Crash
It appears I can’t resurrect my laptop, so I’m continuing to write on hubby’s desktop. Only I don’t have the same capabilities as on my laptop. (I’m still trying to figure out how to save photos to his computer and then transpose them to my posts.) Also, I have to juggle computer time with him since he uses his desktop for a home based Internet business, too.
So…how does one stay organized midst a computer crash, especially when a new computer isn’t in the budget right now? Fortunately, I do have access to a computer.
- I must get up early (6 AM this morning before going to church and then my away-from-home job) and get some writing done, including this post.
- Then I stay up later than everyone else to write in the evening.
- Organize my schedule around my husband’s. He also does Skype messaging with business associates, so may have calls coming in at any time that interrupt my writing.
- Better organize my writing time and make the best use of it when I do have access to the computer.
- Plan more efficiently when I’m not on the computer, such as outlining my posts and writing rough drafts on the way to church (30 miles away), when I eat lunch, at any odd moments I can grab.
- Become more flexible, so I can work whenever the computer is free instead of having set times.
It’s beginning to work after having a couple of days when it seemed everything was disorganized.
What do you do when the unexpected occurs and your planned schedule goes awray? Any good tips for me?
