My Organizational Calendar(s)

In Which Type of Calendar?, I discussed the various types of calendars and planners business people use or could utilize.  I wondered what system you found effective.
I haven’t progressed to the electronic ones because I don’t like having to turn on a computer to find out what I’m to do for the day.  I’m wary yet of having my life displayed on my cell phone. 
We have a system that seems to work well for our family and business at this point, although I’m always open to ways to improve.

Coordinating a Family/Business Calendar

Family and business often are interrelated, especially if you have a home business.  Even if your business is outside the home, you still must coordinate family appointments and activities with your business demands.
Since we live in a multi (three) generational household, there are many times when we have to coordinate personal, business and school schedules.  Sometimes it involves transportation of getting a family member to an appointment.  Other times it’s knowing who will be home for a meal and who won’t.

Control your time, so it doesn’t control you
Using a calendar and planning your time will go a long way towards making you feel in control of things. Do you make a list of the things you need to accomplish on a given day? Great! Do you actually give yourself time to do them?
