At Home Biz Notes, I wrote about, Plan an Open House to Generate Interest in Your Business, possibly between the holidays or right after the new year. What steps do you take to organize one of these?
Decide on a date and time.
What will you emphasize…new services, products, reintroduction of current ones (see list on Home Biz Notes post).
Put up notice in your place of business.
Tuck notices into purchases.
Send out cards/announcements which you can make on the computer.
Possibly plan a program.

Using Trends in Your Business Organization

Do you keep track of trends when organizing your business goals? Or are you on a set path and won’t allow deviation even when there are other inflouences, advances or changes?
Sometimes focus and persistence along a planned path are good. However, you might want to allow enough deviation to take into consideration trends in markets, the economy, and customers’ preferences.

20 Minutes to Organization

When you don’t have time (and most of us don’t) to get from mess to organized, why not go for 20 minutes per day? It doesn’t seem like much, and many times we don’t think we’ve accomplished a great deal. But every little bit puts on the way to organization, I’ve discovered.
I heard two different speakers mention this at business conferences. I tried it, then became discouraged because I didn’t make much progress. So I gradually quit.
