(www.myorganizedbiz.com) – Finally we’re up to number twenty-four. I thought we’d never get here! What is my final favorite office supply? That would have to be my all-in-one printer/fax/scanner. I already mentioned a printer, right? Well, this one is mostly used for faxing and scanning. It’s an inkjet, which is why I don’t use it for my heavy printing. It’s great for photos, though.
It saves space – we used to have a fax and a separate scanner. And we don’t have to deal with carbon paper in the fax machine anymore (not to mention finding ways to dispose of the …read more

(www.myorganizedbiz.com) – We’re on to number twenty-three and boy, are my arms tired! My next favorite is a simple accordion file. Okay, it’s purple and plastic, so it’s not a typical file. But it’s indispensable as well.
I drop my tax receipts into it and it helps tremendously when it’s time to file. I have several categories set up. And by doing this, I save a lot of time figuring my expenses. How do you file your receipts?

(www.myorganizedbiz.com) – And now we’re on to number twenty-two. My next favorite is a letter opener. But not one of those old ones that looks like a small knife. The ones that have a pointy end that slides under the envelope lip and guides the blade through the top of the paper.
It’s quick and easy and I’m much less likely to stab myself with it. But I still occasionally get papercuts. I haven’t figured out a way to completely avoid them.

(www.myorganizedbiz.com) – We just keep plugging away here, everyone. Next up – number twenty-one. That would have to be another piece of software, called Mail Act-On.
It has changed the way I deal with my e-mail. I can run through my inbox and process mail faster than I thought possible. And it’s all due to mail rules that assign actions to certain keystrokes. So when you want to move a piece of mail, instead of clicking and dragging, you press two keys. Done!
That alone is worth using a Mac. When I’m using a Windows computer, I find myself longing for quick …read more

(www.myorganizedbiz.com) – My next office supply, number twenty, would have to be my calendar. I use both an electronic version and a paper version. The electronic one is great because I can set it to email me reminders of what’s coming up that day. And the paper one is for scheduling when I’m not near a computer.
I can also share my online calendar with my family so they can see what’s on my radar as well. But the best part? It’s definitely the reminders. I can’t be expected to remember everything can I?

I use it for a lot of my web writing. I only discovered it a few months ago, and almost immediately found it indispensable.
I use other programs to write offline. But what’s nice about Ecto for me – no cutting and pasting into another program for posting. And while I know many people who like MarsEdit, I prefer to use a wysiwyg editor (that’s “what you see is what you get”). It …read more

Number eighteen on the list would be my Moleskine Notebook. I carry it everywhere and jot down notes and ideas. It saves me from losing a bunch of small pieces of paper. It’s durable, small, and quite handy.

My favorite office supply number seventeen is my laser printer. I bought it several years ago and it’s still going strong. And toner, while expensive, really does last me a long time. A lot longer than inkjet ink ever has. It’s economical and makes my letters look nice and …read more
