(www.myorganizedbiz.com) – My tenth favorite office supply is just a simple cup to hold my pens. Many years ago I bought a desk package that had bins, a desk pad, magazine racks, and a couple of pen holders. I think I only have the pen cups remaining from that set.
It’s a simple item, but I like having my pens at my fingertips, rather than digging through my desk drawer every time I need to write something down.
And if anyone else in the house needs a pen, they can grab one from the cup without rifling through my desk. It’s not that I mind whether they look in my desk — it’s the mess they leave behind.

My favorite item is my ink pen. I know it is simple but something I won long ago. It’s a nice and sturdy one with a thick handle and gripper on it.
I agree – I did the same thing, bought a matching pricey set and I have kept the cup.
@ eliza – I have quite a love for pens, as you’ll see in later posts.
@ kelly – I wouldn’t say my set was pricey (Ikea).
It came with two pen cups and both are full, though.
